Privacy policy

Summary

Macro Launcher is a home-screen app. Almost everything it does happens on your phone. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use advertising trackers.

Data that stays on your phone

Your installed-app list and icons, layouts, favorites, folders, widgets, notes, wallpapers you upload or create, usage history, guest-mode and bedtime settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded.

Optional account and sync

If you choose to sign in, we store your email, display name and profile picture so you can sign in. If you turn on sync, we store your launcher appearance preferences (such as layout and theme) so they can be restored on another device. Device security settings, personal history, permissions and local photos are never synced. You can delete synced data or your account at any time from Settings.

Shared wallpaper gallery and widget store

When you open the gallery or widget store, the app downloads published images from our servers. We do not record which images you view.

Permissions and why we ask

• Notification access (optional): reads notification counts only to show unread badges and the Unread widget. Notification content is never stored or sent anywhere.
• Accessibility service (optional): used only to lock the screen with a double-tap gesture when you turn that on. It does not read screen content.
• Usage access (optional): shows recently used apps on your phone only.
• Calendar, approximate location and activity recognition (optional): power the calendar, weather and step widgets on your phone only.
• Set wallpaper (optional): copies your Home wallpaper to the lock screen when you turn that on.
• Package visibility: needed so a launcher can list and open your installed apps, other launchers and app widgets.

Third-party services

Links to Google Play and other apps open those services, which have their own privacy policies. Sign-in with Google is handled by Google.

Children

Macro Launcher is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes all on-device data. To delete your account and synced data, use Settings → Account, or email us.
